The verdict
Don't run a Reddit campaign. Don't run a LinkedIn campaign. The data says both are traps: high retrieval, near-zero citation.
The two things that actually work for dimartec right now:
- More own-domain listicles. dimartec.co.uk is already the most citation-efficient domain in the entire dataset, at 1.55 citations per indexed page versus Reddit's 0.066. Four blog posts are doing all of it.
- Placement in third-party editorial listicles, weighted to the ones OpenAI cites. This is where dimartec is completely absent and where the priority provider lives.
Everything else is a rounding error.
Stop chasing the platforms with the loudest volume. Chase the pages that actually get cited, and fix the category where dimartec's own service is weakest: GEO itself.
Target prompt list
All 25 prompts are tagged BOFU, and unusually, all 25 genuinely are. Every single one is provider-seeking ("which agency should we hire", "who should I shortlist", "who are the best"). There is no exploratory filler to strip out. So the intent filter removed nothing, and the useful cut was by category instead.
| List | Count | ID |
|---|---|---|
| dimartec BOFU Master, High Commercial Intent | 25 | 8b2777f2-0967-428d-8bf4-e80f7fd2e880 |
| dimartec BOFU, GEO / AI Visibility Category | 8 | c203de7b-8c16-45c1-92e2-e210ce52fa2f |
Where dimartec stands today
Cited in 9 of 25 prompts; named in the answer text in 6.
Won: CRO fintech, CRO UK SaaS, CRO €5M ARR, GEO+CRO combined, PPC UK fintech (CAC payback), RevOps €5M ARR, Head-of-Marketing shortlist, European fintech pipeline, RevOps + attribution fintech.
Lost: 7 of the 8 GEO / AI-visibility prompts. Zero citations on "which GEO agency should we hire", "who does GEO for fintech", "recommend a GEO agency in the UK", "which agency can get our SaaS recommended by ChatGPT and Perplexity", "who helps fintech show up in AI search answers", "which agency is best for AI visibility", "which agency to get cited in AI answers". The only GEO win is the one prompt that also mentions CRO, so dimartec is being pulled in on its CRO reputation, not its GEO one. GEO is the stated differentiator and the single weakest category in AI answers.
Competitor citation counts across the 25 prompts: Directive 11, Powered by Search 8, Refine Labs 4, Kalungi 4, NoGood 3, Hey Digital 0.
Target query list
383 captured queries. Filtering was kept deliberately light here because the source stage has far sharper filters. The one tight cut was cross-provider convergence.
| List | Count | ID |
|---|---|---|
| dimartec BOFU, All Captured Queries (broad) | 383 | 4e251d8c-9e34-4714-821a-5f5bf76fbd52 |

Search volume by provider
| Provider | Queries issued |
|---|---|
| Grok | 131 |
| OpenAI | 79 |
| Perplexity | 75 |
| Gemini | 73 |
| Anthropic | 25 |
Anthropic searched roughly a third as often as OpenAI, and pulled 6 to 8 sources per query where OpenAI pulled up to 28. Anthropic is answering these questions largely from what it already knows. That single fact reshapes the strategy per provider, as set out below.

The analysis
Citation efficiency is the only metric that matters
Retrieval is cheap. Citation is what puts you in the answer. The gap between the two is enormous and it's where every wrong strategic instinct comes from.
| Domain | Retrievals | Citations | Cite rate | Pages indexed | Citations per page |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| dimartec.co.uk | 28 | 17 | 61% | 11 | 1.55 |
| beomniscient.com | 33 | 19 | 58% | 15 | 1.27 |
| firstpagesage.com | 33 | 26 | 79% | 21 | 1.24 |
| youtube.com | 25 | 17 | 68% | 29 | 0.59 |
| clutch.co | 45 | 26 | 58% | 84 | 0.31 |
| linkedin.com | 82 | 27 | 33% | 93 | 0.29 |
| reddit.com | 67 | 18 | 27% | 272 | 0.066 |
| wikipedia.org | 27 | 3 | 11% | 63 | 0.05 |
| arxiv.org | 36 | 0 | 0% | 87 | 0.00 |
LinkedIn and Reddit are the two most-retrieved domains in the entire dataset and two of the three worst converters. They soak up model attention and give almost nothing back.
Why a Reddit campaign would fail
TSL-2 is the receipt. Of roughly 40 Reddit pages retrieved at meaningful volume, nearly every one has zero citations. The pattern is stark: Reddit retrieval is almost entirely OpenAI, and OpenAI cites virtually none of it.
Worse, someone is already running the exact campaign you'd be tempted to run. The r/u_Temporary_Meeting182 profile posts ("Best SaaS PPC agencies in 2026", "Best B2B SaaS marketing agencies", "Best SaaS GEO agencies in 2026") are self-published listicles on a Reddit user profile. They pull 8 to 9 retrievals each. They have zero citations. Same for the r/Superframeworks and r/SEO_LLM equivalents. The play is being run, at scale, and it isn't working.
Three Reddit threads are worth engaging with organically. These are the only ones that convert:
| Thread | Providers | Citations |
|---|---|---|
r/SaaS, "Best GEO/AEO agencies for SaaS on the market" | grok, openai, gemini, perplexity | 6 |
r/PPC, "Agency recs for B2B SaaS company" | grok, openai | 4 |
r/obility, "Top GEO agencies" | grok, gemini | 2 |
r/b2bmarketing, "Good B2B SaaS startup demand gen agencies" | grok, openai | 2 |
Comment in those four as a practitioner. That's a half-day of work, not a campaign.
Why a LinkedIn campaign would fail, with one exception
LinkedIn is the most-retrieved domain in the set (82) and converts at 33%. But the conversion is concentrated: the only LinkedIn asset that earns real citations is a Pulse listicle, "10 Best AI Search Agencies for B2B SaaS in 2026 (GEO, AEO & AI Visibility)", with 8 retrievals and 4 citations, cited by Grok and Perplexity.
Not posts. Not thought leadership. A long-form Pulse article structured as a ranked list. And note: Anthropic never touched LinkedIn once.
So: publish one Pulse listicle per category, treat it as a content asset, and skip the posting cadence entirely.
The own-content finding
TSL-4 is the most important list here. dimartec has 11 indexed pages producing 17 citations, better citation efficiency than every third-party domain in the dataset.
| Page | Providers | Citations |
|---|---|---|
| 5 Best B2B Fintech Marketing Agencies for Pipeline Growth | grok, anthropic, gemini, perplexity | 7 |
| 5 Best CRO Agencies for SaaS, Fixing Low Conversion Rates | grok, gemini, perplexity | 4 |
| 5 Best B2B Fintech Marketing Agencies for Reducing CAC | grok, anthropic, gemini, perplexity | 3 |
| 5 Best CRO Agencies for SaaS, Full-Funnel Optimisation | grok, anthropic, perplexity | 3 |
| 10 Best Revenue Operations Agencies in 2026 | perplexity, gemini | 2 |
The "5 Best X agencies for Y" template works. It is already being cited by Anthropic, Gemini and Perplexity.
Zero dimartec pages are cited by OpenAI. Not one. That is the biggest gap in the account, and OpenAI is priority #1.
Obvious content gaps, categories where dimartec has no listicle at all: GEO / AI visibility (the flagship service), PPC / paid media, lead generation, and anything UK-specific despite UK being the home market and appearing in multiple prompts.
Per-provider strategy
The three priority providers behave so differently that a single strategy would be wrong for at least two of them.
Retrieves the most aggressively (up to 28 sources per query), hoovers up Reddit, Wikipedia and arXiv, then cites almost none of it. What it does cite is editorial listicles and, notably, agency service pages. team4.agency/services/generative-engine-optimisation earned 4 citations as a straight service page, the only one of its kind in the dataset.
Two moves:
- Outreach to the OpenAI-cited listicles (below). This is where dimartec is invisible and where the priority provider looks.
- Build a hard-optimised
/services/geopage modelled on Team 4's: an entity-dense, UK-anchored, question-answering service page rather than a sales page. It's the one page type OpenAI cited directly.
OpenAI-cited domains to target: conversionteam.com, loudface.co, brighterclick.com, thedigitalelevator.com, omnius.so, team4.agency, techinformed.com, piperocket.digital, belkins.io, leadwalnut.com, saas-hackers.com, tripledart.com, concurate.com, yesoptimist.com, firstpagesage.com, virtuwise.io, dataally.ai, leverdigital.co.uk, beomniscient.com.
Only 25 searches across 25 prompts, 6 to 8 sources each. Mostly answering from what it knows. It already cites dimartec.co.uk on three pages.
Critically: across every page examined, Anthropic cited zero Reddit, zero LinkedIn, zero Clutch, zero Wikipedia. It goes to editorial listicles and almost nothing else. Any platform campaign is wasted on Anthropic by definition.
Anthropic-cited domains: rocktherankings.com, thedigitalelevator.com, omnius.so, grizzle.io, visibilitystack.ai, concurate.com, derivatex.agency, yesoptimist.com, firstpagesage.com, 11x.ai, techinformed.com, theb2bplaybook.com, beomniscient.com, conversionteam.com, rightleftagency.com, aimers.io, loudface.co, brighterclick.com, piperocket.digital, thesmarketers.com, dataally.ai, thethunderclap.com, belkins.io, fame.so, elefanterevops.com, leadwalnut.com, conversionrate.store, saas-hackers.com, growthspreeofficial.com, callboxinc.com, mintcopywritingstudios.com, billricestrategy.com, visionary-marketing.co.uk.
Because Anthropic searches so little, citation work moves the needle less here than anywhere else. The higher-leverage Anthropic play is being widely written about, which is a by-product of the listicle programme, not a separate campaign.
Gemini is the only priority provider that leans on directories and video.
- Clutch.
clutch.co/agencies/conversion-optimization(5 citations) and/conversion-optimization/uk(2 citations) are both Gemini-cited. A properly built Clutch profile with real reviews, targeted at the CRO and UK CRO categories, is a days-not-months job. Directive already has a Clutch profile being retrieved. - YouTube. 68% citation rate, 17 citations across 29 pages. Better conversion than Clutch, LinkedIn or Reddit. Two videos are cited by Gemini, Perplexity and Grok. Nobody in this competitive set is working it hard.
Gemini already cites dimartec, so the base is there. Clutch and YouTube are the additive plays.
The target source list
Tier 1: highest citation yield, all providers (from TSL-1)
Ranked by citations earned. These are the pages currently answering dimartec's BOFU prompts.

Tier A: neutral publishers, realistically pitchable
Not run by direct competitors. Editorial or vendor-owned, so a genuine pitch or a case-study contribution can land.
techinformed.com · firstpagesage.com · clutch.co · 11x.ai · teamwork.com · bizplan.com · fame.so · neilpatel.com · saas-hackers.com · theb2bplaybook.com · visibilitystack.ai · hyperscayle.com · therubiconagency.com · thethunderclap.com
Several of these are 100%-citation-rate single-page assets (techinformed.com, 11x.ai, fame.so, bizplan.com, teamwork.com, visibilitystack.ai), so one placement gives high yield.
Tier B: rival agency blogs running the same play
These are agencies publishing "best agency" listicles as a GEO tactic. Harder, but many accept paid placement, updates or reciprocal inclusion, and they hold the highest citation counts.

GEO beachhead (TSL-3): the category to fix first
25 pages own the GEO/AI-visibility answers. Priority targets, since dimartec is absent from all of them:
rocktherankings.com/best-geo-agency (8 cites, 4 providers) · thedigitalelevator.com GEO list (7, 4) · omnius.so fintech AI SEO (6, 5) · minuttia.com/best-geo-agencies (5, 2) · firstpagesage.com B2B SaaS GEO/AEO (4, 4) · concurate.com fintech GEO (4, 4) · visibilitystack.ai (4, 3) · derivatex.agency (4, 2) · team4.agency GEO service page (4, 4) · yesoptimist.com/best-geo-agencies (4, 2) · grizzle.io (3, 2) · mintposition.co fintech GEO (3, 3) · fintelconnect.com GEO for financial brands (4, 3) · en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Generative_engine_optimization (3, 2)
Plus the r/SaaS "Best GEO/AEO agencies for SaaS" thread and the LinkedIn Pulse AI-search listicle.
Recommended allocation
| Effort | Play | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 50% | Own-domain listicles: GEO, PPC/paid media, lead gen, UK-specific, RevOps expansion | Highest citation efficiency in the dataset (1.55/page). Template already proven. Fills the GEO gap. |
| 30% | Third-party listicle placement, OpenAI-weighted; Tier A pitch, Tier B transactional | The only route into OpenAI, where dimartec is at zero. |
| 10% | Clutch profile and YouTube | Gemini's preferred sources. Cheap, fast, uncontested. |
| 5% | One /services/geo entity page, Team 4 pattern | Only page type OpenAI cited directly. |
| 5% | 4 Reddit threads and 1 LinkedIn Pulse listicle | Surgical, not a campaign. |
| 0% | Reddit programme, LinkedIn posting cadence, Wikipedia, arXiv | 0.066, 0.29, 0.05 and 0.00 citations per page respectively. |
80% of the effort goes to content dimartec controls or can genuinely pitch into. Platform campaigns get precisely the sliver of effort the data says they're worth: none, beyond four comments and one long-form post.
Fix to make this week
Two of the highest-cited own pages have a broken title tag: "5 Best B2B Fintech Marketing Agencies for Pipeline Growth | Alture - Webflow HTML website template" and "5 Best CRO Agencies for SaaS for Full-Funnel Optimisation | Alture - Webflow HTML website template". These are the #1 and #4 cited pages on the domain, carrying a leftover template title into every AI citation. Fix them.
